Okay, first off: I have two corrections to make to Monday’s AAA post. #1 is that the individual awards are also called Mechas. I could have sworn I had read about that name a couple months ago and just plain forgot until I looked at some of the stories published after the ceremony. #2 is that you CAN stream the ceremony online, according to ANN. (Windows Media Player handled it well for me.) Okay, I went back and found the episode of Azumanga I referenced a week ago (it was #11) and found out I had mistaken “foreigners”. In both sub and dub, the German is silent while Yukari-sensei flaps her arms in the guy’s face; he’s too far away to hear anything anyway. What I really meant to talk about was Kagura’s struggles communicating with a non-Japanese speaker.
