Kyoto Animation Chart from Newtype

I first saw this chart in a Newtype September 2010 article about Kyoto Animation around when the Nichijou anime was being announced.

It characterizes the different works the studio had done up to that point into types of adaptations (games, manga, light novels) and genres of the shows (Haruhi and FMP fall into the SF and action grouping). The x-axis goes from “serious” to “gag” while the y-axis is “cool” (kakkoii) to “cute” (kawaii).

I’d love to have someone translate what the bubble says, something about 4 types of sources for their anime?
