New ADV Trailers for Pumpkin Scissors, Red Garden, NHK (Videos)

ADV released some new trailers this week for 5 Centimeters per Second (December), Pumpkin Scissors (Oct. 23 – tentative), Red Garden (Sept. 18), Welcome to the NHK (Oct. 2 – tentative), and Xenosaga (Sept. 11). They are the usual no-dialogue teasers with either the opening and ending song as music and narrative trailers with some footage that overlapped with the teasers. If I had only seen the trailers and not any episodes, I would be interested in watching Red Garden (zombie hit by a truck!), kind of like to see Pumpkin Scissors (“In a country ravaged by war…”), and not care for Welcome to the NHK (“porn” is said three times…) and Xenosaga (never played the games). I don’t believe that Red Garden is the “most anticipated horror thriller of the year”, though. Videos after the jump.

    Oh god, the VAs for Red Garden are appalling. I thought US anime dubbing was meant to be better these days… -_-

    Red Garden, horror thriller? The only time Red Garden was like that was in episode two. Oh and I echo the sentiment of horrible voice acting.

    Hige: Well, most of these haven’t had their cast list released so we’ll have to wait a little longer to find how those sound. The ANN entry for Red Garden has the names of many members of the dub cast but not all of them as there is currently a cast guessing game taking place on the AOD forums. Thus, the voices of Claire and Rachel have not been revealed yet. For example, the high-pitched voice of Rose in the trailer is Brittney Karbowski, who has also voiced Himeko (Pani Poni Dash) and Franca (Coyote Ragtime Show).
