Wanna do a blogging panel at Fanime this year?

Okay, guys. If you’re going to Fanime this year (May 25th-28th in San Jose), back me up on this if you can. I just submitted a fan proposal proposal for a fan panel on the topic of anime blogging and I would like more seasoned bloggers (I only have 10 months of “experience”) to join me, if the bid gets accepted at all. Even fledgling bloggers are welcome as I want to provide a range of opinions and make it an actual panel and not a lecture. Co-hosts might also help diffuse the nervousness of me going to my first big-name convention.
My rough outline starts with a look back of the beginning of anime blogging as a segment of the blogosphere, the “boom” as it caught on, and a look into the future. I think I might also look at the Japanese blogging scene although that is tentative at this point. The next section will feature advice on what to do and not do when blogging. After that, I’ll cover hosting, the array of focuses and styles (e.g. figures, lolis, manga, parodies, rants), aggregators, and conduct. Q&A at the end if there’s enough time.

I’m in if you’ll have me.
I’m going anyway, and kind of wanted to do a panel :)
I’ll offer to join, as well.
Even though I have, what, three months of off-and-on blogging. ^^;
update on my willingness to do the panel: As it turns out, my friends from the anime club I’m in already submitted and got approval for a panel that’s quazi on anime blogging, and I’m a part of it, but I’d be glad to be in your thing too.
lolikit: I just got an email from the Fanime people that mentioned another group doing a panel that “focuses mainly on the effect the blogging has on anime and different styles of writing anime blogs” and me having to change my title. I’m guessing that’s the one you were mentioning.
Both our panels would cover many of the same points in terms of mentioning different styles so I might decide to focus more on the current state of anime blogging (problems, trends), its beginnings and its possible future while still quickly covering how to set up a blog. My proposed new name for mine is “State of the Aniblogosphere” and I think you can keep your title or tweak it a little, your call.
You can still be in mine and I’ll try to pay a visit to yours if I get the chance. How long are you planning for yours to be? A hour? A half-hour?
I’m not entirely sure what mine entails. Like I said, it’s being set up by my buddies (mainly because I’m too nervous about these kinds of things to take initiative). I’ll get back to you when I get more info.
I also told my friends who are organizing it about this post, and had them check it out, and one of them said something about “incorporation.” If there end up being two panels, we could see it more as double the awesome!
Though I’m not so sure now… I don’t think my friends’ panel was going to be focused “mainly” on blogging, so this might be a third party… a challenger appears?! :P
But hey if you want to talk more about this (including logistics as we get further down the line) drop me an e-mail, or something.
Brief update (sorry for polluting your comments… T_T)
Apparently, that other anime blogging panel IS that of my friends. And my friends got an e-mail informing them that someone else (you?) sent in a request. I’m sure everything’ll work out in the end, and your idea for differentiating the two sounds great.
I’m honored that you’d consider me for your panel :)
If at all possible, try to get a smaller room. Better yet, goad Lokkit into taking on the bigger room :-) This will allow to compare the experiences. I noticed that in the big room, there’s more coming and going and in general the atmosphere is less collegial.
I think I’ll skip this year again.
