>> "Call me lazy . . ."

Very well, lazy.

I'm with super rats on this one. I'm never the first to know, but I eventually find out from others. For instance, I didn’t know anything about this Funi thing. It appears that the Co's are trying to put some effort into interacting with the anime community. If only for the purpose of getting stuff sold but is that a problem?

It appears that most people either like it or are apathetic about the whole thing. As for me, it produced an interesting post that I could read; so, it can’t be all that bad.

It doesn't bother me. Some fans really dig announcements so they'll bite on anything to be the first to know. Me, I let everyone else do the legwork...it really only delays me knowing about the lisence by at most a day. I can live with not knowing for a day.

For those that dig this stuff, I think it's great that they're trying different things. Some will be annoying, some won't. It gives people something to talk about.
